Altruism is a selfless action undertaken and performed by one or a group for the benefit of others without thought or hope of personal gain or reward. It is simply “The right thing to do”, and besides that, it feels really good. It is the kind of act that elevates all of humankind and makes our world a better place in which to live. Altruism is personified and embodied through Volunteerism.

Are you part of this picture? The Rehoboth Art League is able to be the marvelous gem that it is only because of the selfless volunteers who perform the tasks that might otherwise not be done.

We need volunteers to help with several different activities at RAL. One is joining the loyal Docent team who takes care of the Homestead and assist with sales of the art works which are displayed there.

A few Volunteer jobs we have

•  Gardening: Spring and Fall plantings and cleanup

•  Homestead Docents: Mornings from 10a-1p or 1pm-4pm. Training provided

•  Gallery Openings/Receptions: Typically Friday evenings from 4:30-7:30, involves selling beverage tickets,     tending bar, serving appetizers or greeting guests
