About the Exhibition

This summer favorite showcases artworks in a variety of 2-D and 3d media by dozens of Rehoboth Art League member artists. Following a long-standing RAL tradition, awards of excellence are announced for exceptional work. 

 

Congratulations to this year’s award winners:

The Sarah Ethel Tunnell Award: Best in Show, $500.  “Cape Cod #3” oil by Michael McSorley.

The Mary Hall Leach Award: Outstanding Work, $250. “Spectator” acrylic by Michelle Marshall-Johnson.

The Thomas McFarland Skelly Award: Painting of Exceptional Merit, any medium, $200. “Johnnie’s Motel” acrylic by Gordon Inyard

The Faucett Okie Award: Emerging Delaware Artist working in oil or pastel, traditional style, $300. “The Twilight Zone” oil by Emily Bourdreau.

The Louise Chambers Corkran Award: Best Sculpture, $50. “Enough” by Donna Iarusso-Matteucci.

The William Horn Award: Best Photograph, $50. “From Within” archival digital print by Dave Magyar.

The Col. W.S. Corkran Award: Painting representative of the Eastern Shore, $50. “Early Birds” acrylic by Leo Kahl.

The Howard Schroeder Award: Sponsored by the Howard Schroeder Sketch Group, $100. “Portrait of Patrick” charcoal by Joe Barbella.

The Delaware Watercolor Society Award of Excellence: Best Watercolor, $300. “Catch of the Day” watercolor by Jane McElvany Coonce.

The Mary Derrickson McCurdy Memorial Award: Honorable Mention, $100. “Deep Pines” pastel by Nick Serratore.

Adelia E. Chiswell Award: Outstanding Watercolor, $50. “Path at Sundown” gouache by Anne Crown-Cyr.

Connie Boland Award: Best Still Life, $100. “Bounty” polymer clay by Joseph Barbaccia.

Best Abstract Award Sponsored by this year’s Awards Judge Heidi Lowe: Honorable Mention, $300. “Awash” mixed media by Elise Manieri.
